Checking over the old wheels.

Now it's time to check the condition of the wheels and bearings, give them a clean-up, and maybe apply a fresh coat of paint.

After removing 36 years of grime, it is evident that some of the original powder coating has worn off, requiring us to apply a fresh coat of paint.

While cleaning the wheels, I observed that the bearings in the rear wheel are not feeling as smooth as they could be.

The rear wheel has been equipped with new bearings and seals.

Having initiated the clean-up process, our next step will involve progressing through the bike.
