As we're putting in the effort to rebuild the bike and breathe new life into it, it's time to update the old bike's look.

Some sections of the original fairing are absent, and the parts present on the bike are damaged.

There are several fairing suppliers available, ranging from inexpensive to costly. I was seeking a supplier who would allow some creative flexibility and could customize the stickers on the fairing, as it no longer features a 250 cc engine. I wanted to make a few modifications.

I settled on a company called 12K Moto at 12kmoto.com.au. They supply motorcycle fairings for almost any bike and are reasonably priced.

It was a simple process: just place the order on their site, then email them with the order number and any changes you would like to make to the standard colours or graphics.

Once it is completed, they send you photos of the completed fairing for approval before it is shipped.

Photos email for approval.

Once approved, the fairing is shipped out in one big box to your door. See the video below of unpacking the fairing.

As you can see, the change I made to the fairing decals was changing from CBR 250 R to CBR EV R.

The bike is presently at the bike shop where the motor mount and battery enclosure are being constructed and installed in the bike's frame. I anticipate its return by mid-January, after which we can proceed with installing the batteries and getting the bike operational.
