The design, approval, and manufacturing process has taken slightly longer than anticipated.

Since the bike frame couldn't support itself, extra framework was needed to substitute the supporting engine, ensuring the bike's safety once the conversion was finished.

A report detailing the engineering of the structure and its capacity to support the frame and batteries had to receive approval from the Road Transport Department prior to construction, ensuring the conversion could be registered for road use.

Having overcome all these obstacles, we can continue with the remainder of the build.

Here are some photos and a brief walk-around of the bike, highlighting the work done by the Bike Shop.

Our current objective is to attach the fairings, chain, covers, and guards to the bike to assess their fit and provide a preview of the final appearance.

Our initial task will be to replace the front mudguard. Since we need to remove the front wheel, we'll also replace the old front brake disc and pads.

With the front wheel reinstalled alongside the new guard, disk, and pads, the bike is starting to transform. Our next task is to replace the old front fairing with the new assembly, which includes the windshield and mirrors.

To finish the ensemble, we'll attach the side fairings to verify the alignment is accurate. I discovered that the upper brackets were initially installed on the incorrect sides, which disrupted the alignment when I placed the side fairings over the previous front fairing.

As we continue to add components to the bike, the clearer the vision in my mind becomes. Next, we will attach the rear sections of the fairing and seats to get a glimpse of the final product.

We are starting to get back on schedule with the build, which means we should progress much more quickly through the conversion process from this point forward. Our next step is to add the tank cover to finalise the transformation to the new look of the CBR-EV-R.

In the forthcoming blog, we will inspect the fairing for any additional brackets required for securing it and talk about installing the new drive chain.
