Now it's time to install the remaining wiring that will run to the Motor Control Box to operate the Pre-charge and Main Contactors.

I have been waiting for the Dash Indicator Lights to arrive to install them into the dash. The dash plate I made out of composite panel will hide the wiring and block the light from the headlights.

I will be using the red battery indicator light to show that the bike is in pre-charge mode. The orange engine fault light on the dash will indicate that the inertia switch has tripped.

I purchased the indicator lights below as a set from Amazon, and they look awesome in the black paneling.

The original main bike fuses were part of the starter solenoid cluster, so I have replaced them with a single fuse that will feed the bike's main fuse box.

Now I have began to splice in the Dash Indicator lights for the Blinkers and High Beam indicators.

I have also wired the Battery Fault indicator to the Start button Latching Relay's Normally Close contact to indicate that the controls are in pre-charge mode. Once the start button is pressed, the light will go off to indicate that the Main Contactor is closed and full power is now applied to the Motor Controller.

The Engine Fault indicator has been wired in parallel with the Inertia Switch and will illuminate if the Inertia Switch trips to an open circuit. If the Inertia Switch trips to an open circuit, the power will then flow through the indicator, illuminating it, but not allowing current to latch in the emergency stop relay that shuts down the Motor Controller.

After unwrapping the wiring, I have installed the control wires for the motor contactors and inertia switch, which will be positioned on the battery enclosure beneath the fuel tank.

Now, if you are totally confused, let me take you through the wiring to hopefully make things clearer.

The bike is now all back together with the old Fairing installed and is now ready to go into the bike shop to have the new frame bracing, battery box and electric motor mounts fitted.

Lastly, let's briefly stroll around to inspect the progress we have made on the bike.

It is now time for the bike to be taken out of the shed and transported to Brisbane, where the frame support and battery enclosure will be constructed and installed within the frame.
